Wiring and nets
draw_wire
Draw a wire between two pins.
Usage
draw_wire <Ref1> <Pin1> <Ref2> <Pin2>Angle brackets mark required arguments and square brackets optional ones. Available in the schematic editor. You can issue this yourself, and the AI agent issues the identical command — there is no second, hidden interface.
Arguments
Ref1Pin1Ref2Pin24 required, 0 optional.
Behaviour
Pin1/Pin2 are pin numbers or names. The router routes around obstacles automatically, so the resulting path is not necessarily a straight line between the two pins. NOT the same as connect: this goes to Pin2 itself, wherever that is, and does not check whether the two are already on one net. Reach for connect when what you mean is "put these on the same net", and this when you mean "draw a wire between these two points".
How the agent uses it
- The agent works in a perceive / act / verify / recover loop: it describes the design, issues
draw_wireor another command, checks the result, and undoes the change if the check fails. - Commands report what they actually did. A refusal is a result, not a silent no-op — which is what lets the agent recover instead of building on a change that never happened.
- Anything the agent can do here, you can do yourself, and the reverse.
